It is found in research that children born by Cesarean Section are more Obese than those born naturally through Vagina.
This study is controversial. In a new study Brazilian researchers found that more than 2,000. 23-25 year old children, 15% of those delivered through C-Section were Obese as compare to 10% of other children born naturally. The research team considered other factors too that have the connection with the C-Section including heavier birth weight, income and education level of mothers.
It was found that mothers with high education had the higher level of C-Sections. The Dr. Helena Goldani and his colleagues say that even considering these factors, 58% increase is seen in the risk of adulthood Obesity. The researcher says that there is possibility that C-Section increases the risk of Obesity at the later stage in life. This is due to the reason that infants who are born through C-Section could not take the beneficial Bacteria in the birth canal and they take longer time to accumulate the Bifidobacteria and other Microbes that could influence their Metabolism.

Obesity in Children
Obesity has now days become one of the major problems in the children, the reasons for this could be different but the major one no doubt is the junk food that is the hot favorite of all children. Different surgical treatments have been very common nowadays for the obesity and many parents think that these treatments are best for their children. Recently a review of studies on the obesity has been performed by different Britain and US scientists and it has been suggested that diet change and more exercise should have to be the first option in treating the obese children and getting surgical treatment and drugs usage should be avoided as much as possible.

Sue Kimm of the University of New Mexico, Debbie Lawlor of Britain’s Bristol University and Joan Han of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, wrote in The Lancet journal “The risks of bariatric surgery are substantial, and long-term safety and effectiveness in children remain largely unknown”. Many studies have been performed on the pros and cons of surgeries for obesity but the results could be different for a child that’s why doctors suggest avoiding this mode of treatment for the children. The experts said that prevention, especially in young children is the best way of controlling the obesity rates along the globe.
